Your relationship life should serve as a place of peace for you… Not the opposite… Life is hard already and so your relationship should help ease away the tension, the struggles, the ups and downs, the uncertainties and difficulties of everyday life.

It should serve as a source of positive vibes, security, happiness, laughter, safe space and of course, a ground for healthy vulnerability for you. It should be filling you up emotionally and keeping you grounded; and not draining you up emotionally and causing instability in your life.

It shouldn’t be a place one comes to display his or her gutter attitude with reckless abandon, act childish or immature; or behave as a King Herod of Egypt or a Mini Margaret Thatcher… Neither is it a place one comes to unburden their meaningless baggage and petty behavior whilst still busy looking for who will accept them and their rubbish the way they are; especially when they aren’t even putting in substantial effort to work on those queer character of theirs.

Again… One shouldn’t allow their personal character or attitude problems define the flow of things in their relationships, or allow those character problems cause irrational issues for them in their dealings with others… most especially with the ones they claim to love… This is the point where Self Improvement and Personal Development comes in.

Work on your irrationalities and pettiness so you don’t damage someone’s child or someone else’s life with your already damaged self all in the name of dating or marriage.

And no… Do NOT allow someone’s son or daughter drain you up emotionally with toxicity or cause you instability just because you love and care for them. Your mental health is paramount to your overall wellbeing and if your health doesn’t matter to them… then it’s obvious they do not value you and are simply not worth the stress.

Lastly, when you find that one who loves you sincerely even in the midst of your misguided shenanigans; has your interest at heart; someone who’s willing to go all the way to bring you peace, stability and comfort and would equally go out of their ways just to see you Excel… Hold them close, Appreciate their efforts, Do not take them for granted and NEVER LET THEM GO!
Because such a Person is Rare to Find…
